01 / THE RECIPE
Your daily lineup.
Everything has a place. Measure, blend, enjoy.
Batch quantities scale the ingredients and cost. Nutrition always describes one smoothie. Water or ice is optional for consistency.
02 / THE BIGGER PICTURE
A strong start.
Room for dinner.
A meal doesn’t need to do everything.
Here’s what this blend contributes to your whole day.
34% of a 2,400 kcal reference
Maintenance estimate: 2,200–2,600 kcal.32–34% of 38 g daily
Your smoothie cap is a separate 15 g limit.| Nutrient | Per smoothie | Daily target | Coverage | Still to get |
|---|
Ranges are estimates, not a lab analysis. Coverage can exceed 100%; more is not automatically better. Targets are age/sex RDAs or adequate intakes, not necessarily the Daily Values on food labels. Iodine, biotin, choline, and unlisted nutrients are not fully quantified here.
FINISH THE DAY WELL
Dinner still matters.
A bowl of pho can contribute protein, but its contents vary. Build the rest of the day around these remaining needs.
Carrots, sweet potato, or a generous serving of leafy vegetables.
Beans, vegetables, avocado, and other varied plant foods.
Meat, fish, tofu, dairy, or a fortified alternative as needed.
03 / THE SHOPPING LIST
Good food.
Clear numbers.
Your package prices, with the math out in the open.
Ingredient use only.
Delivery, taxes, and waste excluded.
| Product | Package size | Package price | Price / oz | Amazon | Whole Foods |
|---|
Prices supplied by you; not live retailer quotes. “fl oz” measures volume; “oz” measures weight. Banana purchase weight includes the peel. Product availability and formulations can change. Amazon grocery links may require a delivery address. Search links are labeled; the exact oat-milk six-pack listing has not been confirmed. Whole Foods links appear only where the product was identified.
How the cost is calculated +
Package price ÷ package weight × amount used. Liquid milk uses 8 of the carton’s 32 fluid ounces. Bananas use the original estimate of $1.17 for four. Whey is $97 ÷ 62 labeled servings; confirm your tub’s serving count. Vitamin D uses approximately 351 six-drop portions per bottle. Costs are summed before rounding.
One 16 oz box of Total contains about 11 full 40 g recipe portions. The original four bananas limit that shopping basket to four smoothies. Six smoothies need six bananas and 1,020 g yogurt—more than one 32 oz yogurt tub.
04 / MAKE IT A RITUAL
A little prep.
A simpler week.
Make six portions in smaller blender batches.
Freeze individually. Thaw one at a time.
Blend
Start with milk and yogurt. Add protein powder, banana, cereal, peanut butter, almonds, spinach, and ground flax. Blend until smooth; adjust with water if needed.
For a 72 oz Ninja, start with two portions per batch and always stay below its marked maximum fill line.Portion & freeze
Divide evenly into freezer-safe containers promptly. Leave expansion space according to the container manufacturer’s instructions.
Measure your first batch’s yield. A 16 oz container may be too small; ingredient volume is not the same as blended volume.Thaw & enjoy
Move tomorrow’s portion to the refrigerator about 24 hours ahead. Stir or shake after thawing, then add six drops of regular-strength D3.
Keep at 40°F / 4°C or colder. A vacuum bottle must actually keep it cold; don’t leave a warming smoothie at room temperature for four hours. For a six-day batch, freeze future portions rather than holding all six in the fridge. Never thaw on the counter. Discard perishable food left at room temperature for more than two hours, or one hour above 90°F. USDA storage guidance ↗
THE FINE PRINT, MADE READABLE
Useful estimates.
Honest limitations.
This guide uses the final agreed recipe: 40 g Total, a full banana, no oats or strawberries, and 3 g flaxseed. The six vitamin D drops remain part of each serving.
Labels, assumptions & daily targets +
The model uses approximately 130 kcal for a cup of Califia, 100 kcal for 170 g yogurt, and 130–140 kcal for a serving of Nutricost isolate. Some online labels differ, especially for milk fiber and protein powder. Your package label takes precedence. The estimated 12–13 g fiber is not a guaranteed ceiling.
Micronutrients combine product labels with approximate food-composition values. Vitamins can change with storage. A 2,400 kcal maintenance reference is a starting estimate, not a prescribed intake or a fat-loss target. Protein uses about 1.6–2.0 g/kg body weight. This smoothie is a substantial meal, not a claim of complete daily nutrition.
Iron is estimated at 20–22 mg, above the 8 mg adult male RDA but below the adult 45 mg upper limit. Do not interpret extra fortification as a reason to add more supplements. ALA from flax is not equivalent to EPA/DHA from fish.
